The Holy Family House, Inc. was incorporated in 2004 by Vera Marie Verna, performing Intergenerational Care by combining senior care with services to mothers and the unborn. The founder’s previous 501C, The Foundation to Support Mothers and the Unborn was incorporated in 2000.

Some seniors and mothers in crisis needed to be housed and cared for in her large home occupied by herself and her three adopted children until she found other accommodations. Verna worked as an Assisted Living Director for a local facility. She noted the cost was not affordable by most. Now $4000 per month cash. No Medicare/Medicaid.There are not many facilities for Live in Care for pregnant women in crisis then and now.

She helped many find and apply for Medicaid for the girls to deliver  offered post delivery help, suggesting adoption and other found resources. Last year Verna received a Trademark/Service Mark for “Intergenerational Care” for The Holy Family House, Inc. for the State of Florida. She is hoping that this will help her to find builders, investors and donations to supply care for seniors and pregnant women in the State of Florida. A well known architect donated preliminary plans and specifics for an Intergenerational Care Center.
